Be not deceived, bad conversations corrupt good morals.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may experience what is the good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity to God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

And we know that all things co-operate for good to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose;

for he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou dost evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is also the minister of God, as an avenger to execute his wrath upon the malefactor.

For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more being reconciled shall we be saved by his life.

I can do all things through Christ strengthening me.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strifes, emulations, animosities, contentions, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and the like: of which I forewarn you, as I have also told you before, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

After these things Jesus resided in Galilee: for He would not appear in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. For no man doth any thing in secret, who is himself desirous to be known in public. As thou dost these wonderful things, make thyself known to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in Him. Then saith Jesus unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always alike ready; for the world cannot hate you: but me it hates, because I bear my testimony concerning it, that it's deeds are evil. Go ye up to this feast as soon as ye please; for I am not yet going up to it, because my time is not yet fully come. And after He had said these things unto them, He stayed a while in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not in a public manner but as it were in private. The Jews therefore sought for Him at the feast, and said, Where is He? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, No: He deceiveth the people. No one however spake openly in favor of Him, for fear of the Jews.

Have ye forgotten the exhortation, which speaketh to you as to sons, saying, "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord, nor saint when rebuked by Him? for whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth." If ye endure chastening, God treateth you as sons; for what son is there, whom the father doth not chastise?read more.
But if ye be without chastisement, of which all are partakers, then are ye bastards and not sons. Now if we had fathers of our flesh, who corrected us, and we gave them reverence; shall we not much more be in subjection to the Father of spirits, and live? For they indeed corrected us for a while, as seemed good to them; but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening seems for the present to be matter of joy but of grief: and yet afterwards it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those that are exercised thereby.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; and were all baptized into Moses by the cloud and by the sea; and did all eat the same spiritual food;read more.
and did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of the spiritual rock that followed them: and that rock was an emblem of Christ. But with the greater part of them God was displeased: for they were destroyed in the wilderness. Now these things were examples for us, that we might not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. And be ye not idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "The people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play." Neither let us commit whoredom, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted Him, and were destroyed by serpents: nor murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these things happened to them as examples: and are written for our admonition, on whom the last ages are come. Wherefore let him, that thinks he standeth, take heed least he fall.
