And I, my brethren, could not speak to you, as to spiritual persons, but as to carnal ones, even as to babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for ye were not hitherto able to bear it, nor yet are ye even now able. Because ye are still carnal: for while there is among you envy and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk as men?
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, fidelity, meekness, temperance: against such things there is no law.
which according to your former conversation was corrupted with deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment; that ye may try things that differ, that ye may be sincere and without offence until the day of Christ; being full of the fruits of righteousness which are through Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God.
We ought always to give thanks to God on your account, my brethren, as it is fit; because your faith increaseth greatly, and the love of every one of you towards each other aboundeth:
Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you; who always strives earnestly for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God:

Do ye therefore, beloved, as ye know these things before, take heed least being seduced together with them by the error of the wicked, ye should fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
Now we that are strong, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves:
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, do ye, who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, least thou also shouldst be tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Brethren, I count not myself to have attained it: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to those before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, attend to this: and if in any thing ye think differently, God will reveal this also unto you.
And that which fell among thorns, are those who when they have heard the word go away and are choked with the cares and riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
Having therefore, my beloved, these promises, let us purify ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
