For the time past of our life is sufficient for us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, walking in lasciviousness, inordinate desires, excess of wine, revellings, drunkenness, and abominable idolatries: in which they think it strange that ye run not with them into the same excess of riot, and therefore speak evil of you:
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that vanquisheth the world, even our faith.
And as I am to be no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to Thee, Holy Father, keep by thy name those whom Thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
And therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those who are of the houshold of faith.
