But He answered and said unto them, And why do ye transgress the commandment of God for your tradition?

And ye expressly annul the commandment of God, that ye may retain your own tradition;

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye retain the tradition of men, as the washings of pots and cups, and many other such like things.

Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the appointment of God our Saviour, and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,

and hath in his own times manifested his word, by the preaching, with which I was intrusted according to the commandment of God our Saviour:

And He said unto them, Where is your faith? But they were struck with awe and amazement, and said one to another, who is this? for He commandeth even the winds and the sea, and they obey Him.

Go ye therefore and instruct all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent, and come out of him: and the impure spirit threw him into convulsions, and roaring with a loud voice, came out of him. And they were all amazed, so that they inquired of each other, saying, What is this, what new kind of doctrine is this? for He commands with authority even the impure spirits, and they obey Him.

And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He who is appointed by God to be judge of the living and of the dead.

But those that are married, not I command, but the Lord, that the wife be not separated from her husband; (but if she separate, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband;) and that the husband put not away his wife.

If any one seem to be a prophet, or acted by the Spirit, let him acknowlege that what I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.

For ye know what commandments we gave you from the Lord Jesus.

that ye may be mindful of the words formerly spoken by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: knowing this first,

Brethren, I write not a new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning: the old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning: though I write it again as a new commandment, which is truth in Him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. And they desired him to stay there some days.

As I exhorted thee to stay at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge certain persons not to teach other doctrine, nor attend to fables and endless genealogies, which occasion debates, rather than pious edification in the faith: so do, and acquaint them that the end of that charge is charity, out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned:

Charge them, that are rich in this world, not to be high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly affords us all things for enjoyment: charge them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to distribute, willing to communicate;

I charge thee before God, who giveth life to all, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed a good confession before Pontius Pilate, that thou keep this commandment, unspotted and blameless, till the appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ;

But some in the croud bawled out one thing and some another: and as he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle.

But as there arose much contention, the tribune fearing least Paul should be torn in pieces by them, ordered a party of soldiers to go down, and take him by force out of the midst of them, and to bring him into the castle.

And when he had staid among them more than ten days, he went down to Cesarea, and the next day sitting on the tribunal, he commanded Paul to be brought before him.

Now both the chief priests and the pharisees had given order, that if any one knew where He was, he should inform them, that they might take Him.

Therefore they ordered them to withdraw from the council,

saying, Did not we strictly charge you not to teach in this name? and behold ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and would bring this man's blood upon us.

but the high priest Ananias ordered those that stood next him, to smite him on the mouth. Then said Paul to him, "God will smite thee, thou whited wall: dost thou sit to judge me according to the law, and contrary to the law commandest me to be smitten?"

for when every command was spoken according to the law, by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the book and all the people, saying, this is the blood of the covenant, which God hath enjoined you.

And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no one; but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

and saith unto him, See thou tell no man: but go, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy purification what Moses has commanded, for a testimony to them.

They say unto Him, Why then did Moses order a bill of divorce to be given, and so to put her away? He answered them, Moses because of your hardheartedness, permitted you to put away your wives; but it was not so from the beginning:

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses permitted a man to write a bill of divorce, and to put her away.

Now Moses in the law has commanded us that such women should be stoned, but what sayest Thou?"

But sin taking occasion by the commandment wrought in me all manner of concupiscence: for without the law sin was dead. And I was heretofore alive without the law: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died: and the commandment which was intended to life, I found to be unto death.read more.
For sin taking occasion by the commandment deceived me, and by it slew me. So that the law is holy; and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me?
