For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are of no account in comparison with the glory about to be revealed for us.

upon hope of eternal life which God, Who cannot lie, promised before eternal times,
not by works of righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy, He saved us through a washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit; Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior; that having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure; for, if ye do these things, ye shall in nowise ever stumble; for thus shall there be richly supplied to you the entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
