God is a not man that he should lie. He is not a son of man who changes his mind. Does he ever promise and not fulfill? Does he ever speak and not act?

We have not come to destruction because of Jehovah's loving kindness. His mercies are without end. They are new every morning. Your faithfulness is abundant.

Jehovah then passed in front of him and called out: I, Jehovah, am a God who is full of compassion and pity. I am not easily angered and show great love and faithfulness.

You were chosen because Jehovah loved you and kept the oath he swore to your fathers. So he used his mighty hand to bring you out. He freed you from slavery under Pharaoh king of Egypt. Keep in mind that Jehovah your God is the only true God. He is the faithful God. He keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commandments.

He is the Rock! His work is perfect. For all His ways are just. He is a God of faithfulness and without evil. He is just and upright.

He was fully assured that what he had promised, he was able to perform.

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny himself.

You saw that his heart was true to you, and made an agreement with him to give the land of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Jebusite and the Girgashite, even to give it to his seed, and you have done what you said; for righteousness is yours.

Nevertheless he saved them for the sake of his name that he might make his power known.

Faithful is he who calls you. He will also make it happen.

Men swear by someone greater then themselves: and an oath for confirmation to them puts an end to the problem. When God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this to offer encouragement so we may rely on the hope offered to us. We have taken refuge in that hope and it is impossible for God to lie. These two things can never be changed.

It is time for me to die. Every one of you knows in his heart and very being that Jehovah your God has given you all the good things he promised. Every promise he made has been kept; not one has failed.

Jehovah kept every one of the promises he made to the people of Israel.

THANKS TO JEHOVAH! He has given his people Israel rest, as he has promised. None of the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed to come true.

Remember his promise for a very long time, the word that he commanded for a thousand generations!

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion throughout all generations.

Jehovah is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness. He is longsuffering (patient) toward you. He does not wish that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you. I will make your name great. You will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you. I will curse whoever curses you. All the people on earth will be blessed through you.

The word of Jehovah came to him: This man shall not be your heir. No one but your very own issue shall be your heir.

Jehovah was gracious to Sarah, as he had said. Jehovah did for Sarah what he had promised. Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age. It was at the very time God had promised him.

The word of promise: According to this time I will come and Sarah will have a son.

Brothers, we are children who belong to the promise, the same as Isaac was.

By faith Sarah received strength to conceive seed when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who promised.

I will choose one of your sons to be king when you reach the end of your life and are buried in the tomb of your ancestors. I will make him a strong ruler. I will allow no one to take his long lasting kingdom away from him. He will be the one to build a temple for me.

When your days are over and you go to be with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you. It will be one of your own sons, and I will establish his kingdom. He is the one who will build a house for me. I will establish his throne forever.

Solomon continued: My father David planned to build a temple for the worship of Jehovah the God of Israel, Jehovah said to him: 'You were right in wanting to build a temple for me. However you will never build it. It is your son who will build my temple.'read more.
Now Jehovah has kept his promise. I have succeeded my father as king of Israel. And I have built the Temple for the worship of Jehovah the God of Israel. I also provided a place in the Temple for the Ark of the Covenant containing the stone tablets of the covenant Jehovah made with our ancestors when he brought them out of Egypt.

My father David had his heart set on building a Temple for the name of Jehovah the God of Israel. However, Jehovah said to my father David: Since you had your heart set on building a Temple for my name, your intentions were good. You must not build the Temple. Jehovah has kept the promise he made. I have taken my father David's place. I sit on the throne of Israel as Jehovah promised. I have built the Temple for the name of Jehovah God of Israel. I put the Ark that contains Jehovah's promise to Israel there.

This is what Jehovah of Hosts says: 'You did not listen to my words, so I am going to send for all the families from the north. I will also send for my servant King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, says Jehovah. I will bring the families from the north to attack this land, its people, and all these surrounding nations. I am going to destroy them and turn them into something terrible, something ridiculed, and something permanently ruined. This whole land will be ruined and become a wasteland. These nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.'

It was the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. Nebuzaradan, the captain of the armed men, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. He had the Temple of Jehovah, the king's house and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burned with fire. The rest of the people still in the town, and all those who had given themselves up to the king of Babylon, and all the rest of the workmen were taken away as prisoners by Nebuzaradan, the captain of the army. He let the poorest of the land go on living there, to take care of the vines and the fields.

So he had the Babylonian king attack them and execute their best young men in their holy temple. He did not spare the best men or the unmarried women, the old people or the sick people. God handed all of them over to him. He brought to Babylon each of the utensils from God's temple, the treasures from Jehovah's Temple, and the treasures of the king and his officials. He burned down the Temple and the city, with all its palaces and its wealth, and broke down the city wall.read more.
The survivors were taken to Babylonia as prisoners. They served as slaves of the king and his sons, until Persia became a powerful nation. This fulfilled the word of Jehovah that was spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept Sabbath until seventy years were complete.

On the tenth day of the fifth month of Nebuchadnezzar's nineteenth year as king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, who was the captain of the guard and an officer of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. He burned down Jehovah's Temple, the royal palace, and all the houses in Jerusalem. Every important building was burned down. The entire Babylonian army that was with the captain of the guard tore down the walls around Jerusalem.read more.
Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, captured the few people left in the city, those who surrendered to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the population. Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, left some of the poorest people in the land to work in the vineyards and on the farms.

It was the first year of Cyrus, king of Persia. In order that the word of Jehovah (YHWH) given by the mouth of Jeremiah might come true, Jehovah moved the spirit of Cyrus, king of Persia. He made a public statement through all his kingdom, and put it in writing, saying: These are the words of Cyrus, king of Persia: 'Jehovah the God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has made me responsible for building a house for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. May your God be with you and let you go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah. There you are to build the house of Jehovah the God of Israel. He is the God who is in Jerusalem.

The king of Babylon executed them at Riblah in the territory of Hamath. So the people of Judah were captives as they left their land.

This is what Jehovah says: 'When Babylon's seventy years are over I will come to you. I will keep my promise to you and bring you back to this place.

It was the first year of his reign. I, Daniel, understood from The Books (Holy Scriptures) the number of the years in the word of Jehovah to Jeremiah the prophet. It was seventy years since the destruction of Jerusalem. I looked to Jehovah God to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.

O Jehovah, you are faithful to those who are faithful to you, and completely good to those who are faultless.

This way the blessing of Abraham might come upon the nations through Christ Jesus and we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he is faithful that promised.

For what? If some have not believed, will their unbelief make the faith of God of no effect? Certainly not! But let God be true, and every man false. It is written: So that you should be proved righteous in your words and should overcome when you are judged.

I Jehovah will speak. Everything that I say will happen without any more delay. I will say something, and it will happen during your rebellious lifetime, declares the Almighty God Jehovah.

The vision is yet for the appointed time. It moves quickly to the end. It will not lie! If it delays, wait for it for it will surely come. It will not be late!

We tell you good news. It is God's promise to the fathers. God has fulfilled this promise to their children by resurrecting Jesus. Just as it is written in the second psalm: You are my Son, today I have become your father. (Psalms 2:7)

Jesus responded: Have I been with you so long a time and you do not know me Philip? He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works. Believe me that I am with the Father and the Father is with me, or else believe me because of the works.

Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcised for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers. That the nations might glorify God for his mercy as it is written: For this cause I will confess you to the people of the nations, and sing to your name.

All the promises of God in him are yes. Also in his is the Amen, to the glory of God through us. He who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God. He also sealed us, and gave us the guarantee of the Spirit in our hearts.

He was faithful to Him who appointed him, just as Moses was in His entire house. He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses. This is because the builder of the house has more honor than the house. Every house has a builder. God is the builder of all things.read more.
Indeed Moses was faithful in His house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken afterwards. Christ was faithful as a Son over God's house. We are His house if we hold on to our courage (confidence) and rejoice (speak boldly) about our hope until the end.

And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood.

I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse; and he who sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
