Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves him that causes the birth also loves him that is born. This is how we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
This is love that we walk according to his commandments. This is the commandment that you heard from the beginning. You should walk in it.
