and ye have forgotten the exhortation which, indeed, reasons with you as with sons: "My son, do not lightly regard the chastening of the Lord; neither faint, when reproved by Him; for whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He acknowledgeth." For chastening endure ye: God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chastens not?
Happy is a man who endures temptation; because, when he becomes approved, he will receive the crown of life, which He promised to those who love Him.
For this cause, many among you are weak and sick, and not a few sleep. But, if we discerned ourselves, we would not be judged; but, being judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
For God's wrath is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness;
Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice, and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
Let no one deceive you with empty words; for, because of these things, comes the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
on account of which things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience;
When they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in nowise escape.
For, if the word spoken through angels became steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a righteous recompense, how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation; which, indeed, having at first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;

I can of Myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous; because I seek not My Own will, but the will of Him Who sent Me.
But, if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous, Who visits with wrath? (I speak after the manner of a man). It could not be! for, then, how shall God judge the world? But, if the truth of God, through my lie, abounded unto His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?read more.
And why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil that good may come?" whose condemnation is just.
Who, when reviled, reviled not again; when suffering, was not threatening, but committed Himself to Him Who judgeth righteously;
And I heard the angel of the waters, saying, "Righteous art Thou, Who art, and Who wast, the Holy One, because Thou didst thus judge; because they poured out the blood of saints and of prophets, and Thou hast given them blood to drink: they are worthy!" And I heard another out of the altar, saying, "Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are Thy judgments."
but I will show you Whom ye should fear; fear Him Who, after killing, has authority to cast into Hell; yea, I say to you, fear Him.
And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.
"And, if your right eye is causing you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you; for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body be cast into Hell. "And, if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you; for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not your whole body go away into Hell.
But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be in danger of the judgment; and whosoever says to his brother Raca shall be in danger of the high-council; and whosoever shall say, O foolish one! shall be in danger of the Hell of fire.
As, therefore, the tares are gathered up, and are burned with fire, so shall it be in the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of the Kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those who do iniquity; and they will cast them into the furnace of fire. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He that has ears let him hear.
And, if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off; it is good for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having the two hands to go into Hell--into the unquenchable fire!
And it came to pass that the poor man died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham's bosom. And the rich man also died, and was buried; and in Hades, lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. And, if anyone was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
And then will I confess to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, ye who work iniquity.
Then said the king to the attendants, 'Having bound his feet and hands, cast him forth into the outer darkness:' there will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth!
Then will He say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, ye accursed! into the eternal fire which was prepared for the Devil and his angels;
And He said to them, "Strive to enter in through the narrow door; because many, I say to you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able. When the Householder rises and shuts the door, and ye begin to stand without and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, open to us!' and He, answering, shall say to you, 'I know you not, whence ye are;' then ye will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Thy presence, and Thou didst teach in our streets.'read more.
And He will say, 'I tell you, I know not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of unrighteousness.' There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust forth without.
And there shall in nowise enter into it any thing unclean, or he that works abomination and a lie; but only those written in the Lamb's book of life.
awarding vengeance to those who know not God, and to those who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus; who, indeed, shall pay a penalty, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,
"And these shall go away into age-lasting punishment, but the righteous into age-lasting life."
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.
He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the assemblies. He that overcomes shall in nowise be hurt by the second death.
Happy and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.
But, for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the liars, their part shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone; which is the second death."

And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole habitable earth; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
And the Devil who deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where also the beast and the false prophet were cast; and they shall be tormented, day and night, forever and ever.
