Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and puts active faith in me will never die. Do you believe this?
Those who have wisdom (insight) will shine like the brightness of the firmament. They turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Those accounted worthy to attain to that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. They cannot die anymore for they are equal to the angels. They are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.
Truly, Truly I say to you, he who hears my word, and believes him that sent me, has everlasting life. He will not receive judgment for he has passed out of death into life. Truly I tell you, the hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear (listen) (understand) will live.
If we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we shall be in the likeness of his resurrection.

That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first to rise from the dead, and should show light to the people, and to the nations.

Everyone will be raised to life in the right order: Christ the first fruits and afterward those who belong to Christ at the time of his coming.
We know that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.
When Christ, who is our life, will be made known, then you will also be made known with him in glory.

In the resurrection whose wife shall she be of them? For each of the seven had her as wife. Jesus replied: Is it not for this cause that you err? You do not know the scriptures or the power of God. For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as angels in heaven.
Behold, I show you a secret. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last reverberation of the trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. This corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Christ will, through his power, bring everything under his authority. He will change our humble bodies and make them like his glorified (glorious) body (literally and figuratively: body of his glory). He is able to subject all things to himself.
Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be. We know that when he is revealed we will be like him. We will see him just as he is.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable (pitiable).
I do not want you to be ignorant brothers, concerning those who are asleep (in death). You do not need to sorrow like others who have no hope. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus.
I wish now my words were written. I wish they were inscribed on a scroll. I wish they were engraved forever on a rock with an iron stylus and lead. I know that my redeemer lives, and in later days he will take his stand on the earth.read more.
Even after my skin is gone and this body destroyed, I will see God in my own flesh. I will see him with my own eyes, not with someone else's. My heart fails inside me!
But God will redeem me (buy me back) from the power of the grave because he will receive me.
You who have shown us many and bitter troubles, you will let me live. You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
But your dead will live. Their bodies will rise. You, who dwell in the dust, wake up and shout for joy. Your dew is like the dew of the morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.
I will ransom them from the power of the grave. I will redeem them from death! O death, where are your stings (plagues)? O grave, where is your destruction (devastation)? Compassion will be concealed from my eyes. (1 Co 15:54-57)
When Paul saw that part of them were Sadducees and the other part Pharisees, he cried out in the Sanhedrin: Men! Brothers! I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee! I am being judged because of the hope and resurrection of the dead.
I have hope toward God, which they also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the righteous and the unrighteous.
We know that if our earthly house (human body) (habitation of life) is destroyed; we have a building from God. It is an everlasting house in the heavens, not made with human hands. In this we sigh (in silent prayer), longing to be clothed with our habitation that is from heaven. Indeed being clothed we will not be found naked.read more.
While in this tabernacle we groan and sigh with prayer. We are concerned that we would be clothed with what is mortal and be swallowed up (devoured) by this life.
The appearance of our Savior Christ Jesus revealed this. Jesus abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the good news.
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable. Always have plenty to do in the work of the Lord, for you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
Jesus said to his host: When you give a lunch or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your rich neighbors. They will invite you back, and in this way you will be paid for what you did. When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. You will be blessed because they are not able to pay you back. God will repay you on the day the good people rise from death.
Why do we stand in jeopardy (in danger) every hour? I face death daily even as I rejoice over you in Christ Jesus our Lord. If I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage was it to me if the dead do not rise? Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die.
We are always confident for we know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. We walk by faith, not by sight. We are of good courage, I say, and are willing to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.read more.
We make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to him. We must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether it is good or bad.
I will not be put to shame according to my earnest expectation and hope. With all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in me, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Women received their dead by a resurrection, and others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection:
If children, then heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ. If indeed we suffer with him we may also be glorified with him.
This is a faithful saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him. If we endure, we will also reign with Him. If we deny him, He will deny us!
Truly I tell you unless a grain of wheat falls to the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears much fruit. He that loves his life [in this world] loses it; and he that detests (does not love) his life in this world shall save it for everlasting life.
They strengthened the disciples and encouraged them to continue in the faith. They said, We must enter the kingdom of God through much tribulation.
Beloved ones do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, for it comes upon you like a test, as though some strange thing were happening to you. As much as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.
