'One' in the Bible
may the wise hear and increase learning, and the one who understands gain direction,
Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
Since I called out and you refused,extended my hand and no one paid attention,
But the one who listens to me will live in security, and will be at ease from the dread of harm.
rescuing you from the way of evil—from the one who says perverse things,
for the Lord disciplines the one He loves,just as a father, the son he delights in.
Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who obtains understanding.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
When it is in your power,don’t withhold good from the one it belongs to.
for one who goes astray is an abomination to the Lord, but he reveals his intimate counsel to the upright.
For, a son I have been to my father -- tender, And an only one before my mother.
Or you will give your vigor to othersAnd your years to the cruel one;
Go unto the ant, O slothful one, See her ways and be wise;
Till when, O slothful one, dost thou lie? When dost thou arise from thy sleep?
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
A worthless person, a wicked man,Is the one who walks with a perverse mouth,
A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and discount others], a lying tongue,And hands that shed innocent blood,
a lying witness who gives false testimony,and one who stirs up trouble among brothers.
For on account of a harlot one is reduced to a loaf of bread,And an adulteress hunts for the precious life.
Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned?
So it is with the one who sleeps withanother man’s wife;no one who touches her will go unpunished.
The one who commits adultery lacks sense;whoever does so destroys himself.
For jealousy enrages the [wronged] husband;He will not spare [the guilty one] on the day of vengeance.
I saw among the young men one without sense,
at one time outside, at another in the wide plazas, and by every corner she lies in wait.)
Suddenly he follows herAs an ox goes to the slaughter,Or as one in fetters to the discipline of a fool,
Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching at my doors day by day, waiting beside my doorway.
For the one who finds me finds lifeand obtains favor from the Lord,
but the one who misses me harms himself;all who hate me love death.”
“Whoever is inexperienced, enter here!”To the one who lacks sense, she says,
The one who corrects a mockerwill bring dishonor on himself;the one who rebukes a wicked man will get hurt.
Give instruction to a wise man and he will become even wiser;Teach a righteous man and he will increase his learning.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
“Whoever is inexperienced, enter here!”To the one who lacks sense, she says,
Idle hands make one poor,but diligent hands bring riches.
The one who gathers crops in the summer is a wise son, but the one who sleeps during the harvest is a son who brings shame to himself.
The wise person accepts instructions, but the one who speaks foolishness will come to ruin.
The one who lives with integrity lives securely,but whoever perverts his ways will be found out.
The one who winks his eye causes trouble, and the one who speaks foolishness will come to ruin.
Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning,but a rod is for the back of the one who lacks sense.
The one who follows instruction is on the path to life,but the one who rejects correction goes astray.
The one who conceals hatred has lying lips,and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
When there are many words, sin is unavoidable,but the one who controls his lips is wise.
The blessing of Yahweh makes [one] rich, and he does not increase sorrow with it.
Carrying out a wicked scheme is enjoyable to a fool, and so is wisdom for the one who has discernment.
Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes,so the slacker is to the one who sends him on an errand.
The righteous one is forever; he will not be removed. But the wicked will not remain in the land.
The speech of the righteous bears the fruit of wisdom, but the one who speaks perversion will be destroyed.
The one who denounces his neighbor lacks wisdom, but the one who has discernment keeps silent.
The one who goes about slandering others reveals secrets, but the one who is trustworthy conceals a matter.
If someone puts up security for a stranger,he will suffer for it,but the one who hates such agreements is protected.
The wicked man earns an empty wage,but the one who sows righteousness, a true reward.
True righteousness leads to life, but the one who pursues evil pursues it to his own death.
One person gives freely,yet gains more;another withholds what is right,only to become poor.
A generous person will be enriched,and the one who gives a drink of waterwill receive water.
People will curse anyone who hoards grain,but a blessing will come to the one who sells it.
The one who searches for what is good finds favor,but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him.
The one who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.
The one who brings ruin on his householdwill inherit the wind,and a fool will be a slaveto someone whose heart is wise.

The one who oppresses the poor person insults his Maker,but one who is kind to the needy honors Him.
Wisdom rests in the heart of one who has understanding,But in the hearts of fools it is made known.
A king favors a wise servant,but his anger falls on a disgraceful one. >
The Lord detests the way of the wicked,but He loves the one who pursues righteousness.
Discipline is harsh for the one who leaves the path;the one who hates correction will die.
A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
