Paul and Barnabas found out about it and escaped to the towns of Lystra and Derbe, in the province of Lycaonia, and elsewhere in the vicinity.

And arriving in Jerusalem, Saul attempted to join himself to the disciples. But they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple. And when there was an assault made by both the nations and the Jews, with their rulers, in order to insult and to stone them, they were aware of it and fled to Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the country around them.
