'Blessed are' in the Bible

and called out with a loud cry. "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is your unborn child!

Then raising his eyes upon his disciples he began to say to them. "Blessed are you poor, For the kingdom of God is yours.

"Blessed are you who are hungry now, For you shall be filled. "Blessed are you who are wailing now, For you shall laugh.

"Blessed are you when men shall hate you, And excommunicate you and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil because of the Son of man.

And turning to his disciples he said privately. "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see!

"No, rather," he answered, "blessed are those who listen to the word of God, and keep it."

One of his fellow guest who was listening to him, said to him, "Blessed are those who eat bread in the kingdom of God."

"but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that have never bore children, and the breasts that never suckled.'
