And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister. And Abimelech king of Gerar sent and took Sarah. But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night and said to him, Behold, thou art a dead man, for the woman whom thou hast taken, for she is a man's wife. read more. But Abimelech had not come near her, and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous person? Did he not say unto me, She is my sister? And she, even she herself said, He is my brother; in the simplicity of my heart and cleanness of my hands I have done this. And God said unto him in a dream, Yes, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me; therefore I did not allow thee to touch her. Now therefore restore the man his wife, for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live. And if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou and all that are thine. Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning and called all his slaves and told all these things in their ears; and the men feared greatly. Then Abimelech called Abraham and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us and in what have I sinned against thee that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom such a great sin? Thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What didst thou see that thou hast done this thing? And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place, and they will slay me for my wife's sake. And yet indeed, she is also my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife. And it came to pass when God caused me to wander from my father's house that I said unto her, This is the mercy which thou shalt show unto me: at every place where we shall come, say of me, He is my brother. Then Abimelech took sheep and oxen and menslaves and womenslaves and gave them unto Abraham and restored him Sarah his wife. And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee; dwell where it pleases thee. And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver; behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that were with thee and with everyone: thus she was reproved.
Thou shalt not admit a false rumour; put not thine hand with the wicked to be a false witness.
If a person commits a sin, a trespass against the LORD, and denies unto his neighbour that which was delivered unto him to keep or left in his hand, or in a thing stolen, or has slandered his neighbour;
Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent; he said and shall he not do it? He spoke and shall he not execute it?
When a false witness rises up against any man to testify rebellion against him, then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges, who shall be in those days; read more. and the judges shall make diligent inquisition; and, behold, if the witness is a false witness and has testified falsely against his brother, then shall ye do unto him as he had thought to have done unto his brother; so shalt thou put the evil away from among you. As the LORD lives, I will run after him and take something from him. So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him and said, Is there no peace? read more. And he said, Peace. My master has sent me, saying, Behold, even now two young men of the sons of the prophets came to me from Mount Ephraim; give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver and two changes of garments. And Naaman said, If you wish take two talents. Then he said unto him, Did not my heart go with thee when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money and to receive garments and oliveyards and vineyards and sheep and oxen and menslaves and maidslaves? The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
He that has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.
I have hated those that regard lying vanities; but I wait in the LORD.
Behold, thou dost desire truth in the inward parts, and in the secret things thou hast made me to know wisdom.
Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
I will delight myself in thy statutes; I will not forget thy words.
Contentment is unto men to show mercy, but it is better to do it unto the poor than to the liar.
The false witness shall perish, but the man that hears shall stand fast in his word.
Do not be a false witness against thy neighbour, and do not flatter with thy lips.
A man that bears false witness against his neighbour is a maul and a sword and a sharp arrow.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto those that put their trust in him. Do not add unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

The prophets prophesied falsely, and the priests bore rule by their hands; and my people love to have it so. What will ye do in the end thereof?
For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them each one is given to greed; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one deals falsely.
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the time of the affliction; Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.
For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, said the LORD.

Those that observe lying vanities forsake his mercy.
Can I be pure with false balances and with a bag of deceitful weights?
For I am the LORD, I have not changed; therefore, ye sons of Jacob have not been consumed.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father ye desire to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is the truth.
But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled thy heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to defraud of the price of the land?
Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
and that ye put on the new man, which is created in conformity to God in righteousness and in the holiness of the truth.
Lie not one to another, putting off the old man with his deeds
if we are unfaithful, yet he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself.
for the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the times of the ages
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us.
Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This same is antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.
And the great dragon was cast out, the serpent of old, who is called Devil and the Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
And there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean or that works abomination or makes a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
