a devout man, and fearing God with all his house, and doing many charities for the people, and beseeching God always.

And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and fearing God, and being well testified by the whole nation of the Jews, was divinely warned by a holy agent to summon thee to his house, and to hear sayings from thee.

And having stood in the middle of the Areopagus, Paul said, Athenian men, I perceive you as deity-fearing in all things.

And having taken that up, they used helps, undergirding the ship. And fearing lest they might fall off into the sandbank, having lowered the vessel, they were driven this way.

And fearing lest somehow we might falloff on rough places, having cast off four anchors from the stern, they prayed for day to develop.

And Paul having stood up, and having motioned with the hand, he said, Men, Israelites, and those who fear God, listen.

Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation was sent.

saying, Fear not, Paul. Thou must stand before Caesar, and lo, God has granted thee all those sailing with thee.
