And I wrote this same thing, in order that, having come, I may not have grief over those from whom it behooves me to rejoice; and having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

not that we domineer over your faith, but we are fellow-workers of your joy: for by faith you stand.

For if I grieve you, who indeed is the one giving me joy, except the one being grieved by me?

My boldness to you is great, my rejoicing over you is much: I have been filled with consolation, I superabound with joy in all our tribulation.

Therefore we have been comforted. But we rejoiced the more exceedingly in our consolation over the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all:

because in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
