for, Herod, stood in fear of John, knowing him to be a man righteous and holy, - and was keeping him safe; and, when he heard him, he paid earnest heed, and, with pleasure, used to listen to him.

for he was about to charge the impure spirit to come out from the man. For, many times, had it snatched him away; and he used to be bound with chains and fetters, for a safe-guard, and was wont to break in pieces the bonds, and to be driven by the demon into the deserts.

And, he, said unto him, - Thy brother, hath come, and thy father hath sacrificed the fatted calf, because, safe and sound, hath he received him back.

For the rest, my brethren - rejoice in the Lord. To be writing, the same things, unto you, to me, is not irksome, while, for you, is safe: -

The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work, and will bring me safe into his heavenly kingdom: unto whom be the glory, unto the ages of ages. Amen.
