I will return then, says he, into my house, which I have quitted; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

having no thoughts of the flood till it came, and swept them all away; so shall also the advent of the son of man be.

his tail swept the third part of the stars of heaven; and cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to be delivered, in order to devour her child as soon as it was born.

and at his return he findeth it swept and garnished.

from thence we turn'd to the wind, and arriv'd at Rhegium: the next day the wind being at south, we came in two days to Puteoli:

and rebuked the wind, hush, said he, and be still. immediately the wind subsides, and a settled calm ensued.

After these things, I saw FOUR ANGELS standing on the four corners of the land, holding the four winds of the land, that the wind should not blow on the land, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

As they departed, Jesus said to the people, speaking of John, what did ye go to see in the desert? a reed shaken with the wind?

of heaven fell down to the earth, even as a fig-tree casteth its untimely figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind: the heaven disappeared as a book when it is rolled up:

and they were exceedingly afraid, and said to one another, who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

perceived his disciples had much ado to bear up against the wind, which was contrary; about the fourth watch of the night, he came up, and would have pass'd by them.

and when the south wind blows, you say, there will be heat; and so it happens.
