And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again."
And the spirit cried out, convulsed him terribly, and came out. And the boy was like a corpse; so that many of them said, "He is dead."
And they came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, "What were you discussing on the road?"
The Pharisees came and in order to test him asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?"
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to him and said, "Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask."
And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, Bartimaeus, a blind man, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside begging.

When he came into the house he permitted no one to go in with him except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl.
Now the day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him, "Send the crowd away, to go to the surrounding villages and country, to lodge and get provisions; for we are here in a deserted place."
While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!"
