Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;

The LORD called Samuel again the third time. He arose and went to Eli, and said, "Here I am; for you called me." Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.

So Samuel called to the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

So Saul returned from pursuing after David, and went against the Philistines: therefore they called that place Sela Hammahlekoth.

God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.

God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas. God saw that it was good.

Isaac dug again the wells of water, which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father. For the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham. He called their names after the names by which his father had called them.

Laban called it Jegar Sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed.

(In earlier times in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he would say, "Come, and let us go to the seer"; for he who is now called a prophet was formerly called a seer.)

Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself the pillar, which is in the king's dale; for he said, "I have no son to keep my name in memory." He called the pillar after his own name; and it is called Absalom's monument, to this day.

In my distress I called on the LORD. Yes, I called to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple. My cry came into his ears.

He went out, carrying the cross himself, to the place called "The Place of a Skull," which is called in Hebrew, "Golgotha,"

Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.

Was anyone called having been circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.

For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lord's free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christ's bondservant.

Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "uncircumcision" by that which is called "circumcision," (in the flesh, made by hands);

and came and lived in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets, that he will be called a Nazarene.

He said, "Call her." When he had called her, she stood in the door.

then hear from heaven, even from your dwelling place, and do according to all that the foreigner calls to you for; that all the peoples of the earth may know your name, and fear you, as does your people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by your name.

They shall call them The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and you shall be called Sought out, A city not forsaken.

For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth,"' says the LORD of hosts.

And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, "The Teacher is here, and is calling you."

No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father I have made known to you.
