For these things, belonging to you and abounding, make you neither idle nor unfruitful regarding the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ; for he to whom these things are lacking is blind, seeing dimly, having forgotten the cleansing from his old sins.

Marvel not at this; because there is an hour coming, in which all who are in their tombs shall hear His voice, and come forth; those who did good, to the resurrection of life; but those who practiced evil, to the resurrection of judgment. I receive not glory from men. But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in yourselves. I have come in My Father's name, and ye receive Me not; if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe, who receive glory from one another, and the glory which is from God only ye seek not? Think not that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you, Moses on whom ye have set your hope. For, if ye were believing Moses, ye would believe Me; for he wrote concerning Me. But, if ye believe not his writings, how will ye believe My words?"

They, therefore, having come together, were asking Him, saying, "Lord, dost Thou at this time restore the Kingdom to Israel?" He said to them, "It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father placed in His own authority; but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth." read more.

And, as they were gazing intently into the heaven, while He was ascending, behold, also two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do ye stand looking into the heaven? This Jesus, Who was taken up from you into Heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye beheld Him ascending into Heaven."

Wherefore, I shall be always ready to remind you of these things, though ye know them, and have become confirmed in the present truth. And I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by reminding you; knowing that speedy is the putting off of my tabernacle, as also our Lord Jesus Christ signified to me. And I will also give diligence that at all times ye may be able, after my departure, to perpetuate the remembrance of these things. For, not as having followed after cunningly-devised stories, did we make known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but as having been made spectators of His majesty.

The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him, to show to His servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and, having sent, He signified them through His angel to His servant John; who testified of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, whatsoever things he saw.
