For I did not judge it well to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

(for many walk of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:
And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me.
And he said to them all, If any one will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me;
and whoever does not carry his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.
For Christ has not sent me to baptise, but to preach glad tidings; not in wisdom of word, that the cross of the Christ may not be made vain. For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but to us that are saved it is God's power.
But I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why am I yet persecuted? Then the scandal of the cross has been done away.
