But now I go to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have spoken these things to you, sorrow hath filled your hearts. And when he is come, he will bring conviction to the world, of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Of sin, because they believe not in me; of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged. I have yet many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all the truth. Jesus saith to them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil. Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast; for my time is not yet fully come.

And such confidence as this have we through Christ toward God; not that we are able of ourselves to think anything, as from ourselves; but our ability is from God; who also gave us ability to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. And on this account the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath. But he answered them, My Father is working up to this time, and I work. read more.

And when he is come, he will bring conviction to the world, of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. Of sin, because they believe not in me; of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged. I have yet many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak from himself, but whatever he shall hear, that he will speak; and he will tell you the things to come.
