Now therefore as elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercy, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering, forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel to another; even as Christ forgave you, even so do ye.

Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And though he sin against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee saying, It repenteth me, forgive him."

Then came Peter to him, and said, "Master, how oft shall I forgive my brother, if he sin against me? Shall I forgive him seven times?" Jesus said unto him, "I say not unto thee seven times: but seventy times seven times.

Doth he thank that servant because he did that which was commanded unto him? I think not. So likewise ye, when ye have done all those things which are commanded unto you, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.'"
