Thematic Bible

Then said they to Him, Who art thou? And Jesus answered them, Even the same that I told you at first. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you: but I only say, He that sent me is true, and I declare to the world those things, which I have heard from Him. But they did not know that He spake unto them of the Father. read more.
Jesus therefore said unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then ye shall know that I am He, and that I do nothing of myself, but as my Father hath instructed me, I speak these things. And He that sent me, is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh without intermission, and so do I. For this therefore the Jews sought the more to kill Him, because He had not only broken the sabbath, but had also called God his own Father, making Himself equal with God. Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily I say unto you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for whatsoever He doth, these also the Son doth in like manner. read more.
For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth Him all things, which He Himself doth: and He will shew Him greater than these, that ye may wonder.

Then Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. But I have told you, so that ye have seen me, and yet ye do not believe. All that the Father giveth me, will come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will not cast out. read more.
For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me.

Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God might be manifested in him. I must perform the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night is coming, when no man can work.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will observe my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and will make our abode with him. He that doth not love me, doth not observe my words: and yet the word that ye hear, is not mine, but the Father's who hath sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, while I have been with you. read more.
But the comforter, that is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ye have heard, how I said unto you, "I am going away, and I shall come again to you." If ye loved me, ye would rejoice that I said, I am going to the Father: for my Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it cometh to pass ye may believe. I shall not have much more conversation with you: for the prince of this world is coming; not that he hath any thing in me, but that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father hath commanded me. Arise, let us go hence.

When Jesus had spoken these words, He lifted up his eyes to heaven and said,--- "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify Thee: as Thou hast given Him power over all flesh, that as to all which Thou hast given Him, He might give them eternal life; and this is life eternal, to know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent. read more.
I have glorified Thee on earth, I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do:

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Wherefore upon his coming into the world He saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire, but a body hast thou prepared me: in whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure: read more.
then said I, Lo I come, as in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God." Having said before, "Thou didst not desire, nor hadst pleasure in, sacrifice and offering, and whole burnt-offerings, and sacrifices for sin," (which are offered by the law) then He adds, "Lo I come to do thy will, O God." (He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second.) By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that of all that He hath given me, I should lose none, but should raise them up at the last day. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one who looketh attentively at the Son, and so believeth on Him, may have eternal life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Be subject therefore to every human form of government, for the Lord's sake: whether it be to a king as supreme; or to governors as persons sent by him for the punishment of evil-doers, and the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that by your good behaviour ye may silence the ignorance of foolish men:

For ye know what commandments we gave you from the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification: that ye should abstain from fornication, and that every one of you should possess his vessel in sanctification and honor, read more.
not in the passion of lust, like the heathens who know not God. That no one over-reach, or wrong his brother in any thing: because the Lord is an avenger of all such crimes, as we also told you before, and testified to you. For God hath not called us to impurity, but to holiness.

And admonish the disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be of a patient spirit towards all. See that no one render evil for evil to any man; but always pursue that which is good, both to each other and to all men. Be always joyful. read more.
Pray continually. In every circumstance be thankful; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Now as He was yet discoursing to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, and desired to speak to Him: and somebody said to Him, "Here are thy mother and thy brethren standing without, desiring to speak to thee." But in answer to him that told Him, He said, "Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?" read more.
and stretching out his hand towards his disciples, He said, "Behold my mother and my brethren:" for whosoever doth the will of my Father who is in heaven, he is to me as my brother and sister and mother.

So his brethren and his mother came, and standing without sent to Him to call Him to them: and there was a multitude sitting about Him, and they said to Him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren are without inquiring for thee. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly things by Christ; according as he hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and unblameable before Him in love: having before appointed us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ unto Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will; read more.
to the praise of his glorious grace, whereby He hath made us acceptable in the Beloved: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the remission of sins, according to the riches of his grace; wherein He hath abounded towards us with the highest wisdom and prudence; having made known to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure, which He had before purposed in Himself: that in the dispensation of the fulness of times, He might reduce all things, both in heaven and on earth, under one head in Christ: even in Him, in whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated to it according to the purpose of Him who effecteth all things after the counsel of His own will:

And the Spirit likewise helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for, as we ought: but the Spirit itself intercedes for us with unutterable groans. And He that searcheth the hearts, knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit; for he intercedeth for the saints according to the will of God.

grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

for the Son of man came from thence to save that which was lost. What think ye? if any man had an hundred sheep, and one of them should go astray, would he not leave the ninety and nine, and go upon the hills, and seek that which is gone astray? And if he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more on account of that, than of the ninety nine which went not astray. read more.
Even so it is not the will of your heavenly Father, that any one of these little ones should be lost.

Wherefore be not thoughtless, but consider what is the will of the Lord.
