I have spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;
And they are informed concerning thee, that thou teachest all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying, That they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
This thou knowest, that all they who are in Asia are turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
Why then hath this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.
They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.
For it is impossible for those who have been once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit.
For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs towards the temple of the LORD, and their faces towards the east; and they worshiped the sun towards the east.
And deliver them, who, through fear of death, were all their life-time subject to bondage.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For the transgression of a land many are its princes: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
