Jehovah's glory rose from the angels to the entrance of the Temple. The cloud filled the Temple, and the brightness of Jehovah's glory filled the courtyard.

As the priests were leaving the Temple, it was suddenly filled with a cloud. It shined with the dazzling light of Jehovah's presence. They could not go back in to perform their duties.

the trumpeters and singers praised and thanked Jehovah in unison. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other musical instruments, they sang in praise to Jehovah: He is good; his mercy (lovingkindness) endures forever. Then Jehovah's Temple was filled with a cloud.

Jehovah said to Moses: I will come to you in a thick cloud. The people will hear me speaking with you and will believe you from now on. Moses gave Jehovah the people's answer.

The glory of Jehovah rested on Mount Sinai. The cloud covered it for six days. God called to Moses on the seventh day. He spoke from inside the cloud. To the eyes of the Israelites the appearance of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain. Moses entered the midst of the cloud as he went up to the mountain. He was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.

Jehovah went in front of them in a pillar of cloud to show them the way during the day. He went in front of them in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel at night.

Even then, in your great mercy, you did not give them up in the wilderness. The pillar of cloud still went before them by day, guiding them on their way, and the pillar of fire by night, to give them light, and make clear the way they were to go.

The column of smoke then covered the tent of meeting. The glory of Jehovah filled the tent.

That day the tent of the words of God's Covenant was set up. The column of smoke covered it. The smoke over the tent glowed like fire from evening until morning.

The angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them. The pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them.

He spread out a cloud as a protective covering and a fire to light up the night.

The pillar of cloud was always in front of the people during the day, and the pillar of fire at night.

Jehovah's column of smoke stayed over the tent during the day. There was fire in the smoke at night. This way all the Israelites could see the column throughout their travels.

Aaron was speaking to them, when everyone looked out toward the desert and saw the bright glory of Jehovah in a cloud.

Moses could not go into the tent of meeting because the smoke settled on it and the glory of Jehovah filled the tent.

Jehovah came down in a cloud and stood with him as Moses called upon the name of Jehovah!

Jehovah came down in the cloud and spoke to him. He took some of the spirit he had given to Moses and gave it to the seventy elders. When the Spirit came on them, they began to shout like prophets, but not for long.

Then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

In all their travels, when the column of smoke moved from the tent, the Israelites would break camp. But if the column did not move, they would not break camp.

I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven. He was clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was upon his head. His face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

Jehovah replied: I will go with you and give you peace. Moses said: If you are not going with us, please do not make us leave this place.

The Israelites left Sukkoth and camped at Etham on the edge of the desert. Jehovah went in front of them in a pillar of cloud to show them the way during the day. He went in front of them in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel at night.

After Moses entered, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the door of the Tent. Jehovah would speak to Moses from the cloud. The people would bow down as soon they saw the pillar of cloud at the door of the Tent.

Jehovah said: Tell your brother Aaron that he cannot go into the holy place whenever he wants to. If he goes up to the canopy and stands in front of the throne of mercy on the Ark, he will die. This is because I appear in the smoke above the throne of mercy.

The congregation came together to confront Moses and Aaron. When they turned toward the tent of meeting, they saw the smoke covering it, and the glory of Jehovah appeared.

The whole congregation threatened to stone them to death. Then suddenly the people saw the dazzling light of Jehovah's presence (glory) (splendor) appear over the tent.

Korah assembled all his followers who opposed Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting. The glory of Jehovah appeared to the entire group.

They moved camp to camp with the cloud of Jehovah over them by day.

Then Jehovah came down in the column of smoke and stood at the entrance to the tent. He called to Aaron and Miriam. They both came forward.

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them. A voice came out of the cloud, saying: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him.

Aaron was speaking to them, when everyone looked out toward the desert and saw the bright glory of Jehovah in a cloud.

The pillar of cloud was always in front of the people during the day, and the pillar of fire at night.

So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. There was the cloud along with the darkness, yet it gave light at night. Thus the one did not come near the other all night.

Jehovah came down in a cloud and stood with him as Moses called upon the name of Jehovah!

Then Jehovah will create over the entire area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night. A canopy (shelter) will be over all as the glory (honor).

When he said these things, while they watched, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
