But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was indeed to be blamed.
Then said one of the servants of the high-priest, kinsman to him whose ear Peter cut off, Did not I see thee in the garden with Him?
But Elymas the magician (for so his name signifies) withstood them endeavouring to turn away the proconsul from the faith.
but the high priest Ananias ordered those that stood next him, to smite him on the mouth.
But as they opposed and blasphemed, he shook his garment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clear of it: from henceforth I will go to the Gentiles.

But there rose up some of the synagogue, which is called that of the libertines, and some of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia, and Asia, to dispute with Stephen:
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
And if thy brother trespass against thee, go and expostulate with him alone; if he hearken to thee, thou hast gained thy brother:
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, do ye, who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, least thou also shouldst be tempted.
Brethren, if any among you be seduced from the truth, and one convert him; let him know that he, who turneth back a sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.
As He was saying these things unto them the scribes and pharisees began vehemently to attack Him, and urge Him to speak of many things, laying snares for Him, and endeavouring to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse Him.
And the pharisees and sadducees came to Him, and captiously asked Him to shew them a sign from heaven.
Then the pharisees went and consulted how they might insnare Him in his discourse.
And the scribes and pharisees, when they saw Him eating with publicans and sinners, said to his disciples, What is the meaning that He eateth with publicans and sinners?
Then the pharisees and the scribes ask Him, Why do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the ancients, but eat without washing their hands?
And some of the pharisees said to them, Why do ye do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath-days?
And some of the pharisees from among the multitude said to Him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
The pharisees therefore said to Him, Thou bearest witness of thyself; thy testimony is not true.
and he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art Thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus the Nazarene whom thou art persecuting: it is hard for thee to kick against the goads.
As therefore God gave to them the like gift that He did to us, upon our believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I, that I should be able to withstand God?
