Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

I marvel that ye are so soon turning from him that called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel; which is not another; only there are certain persons who are troubling you, and seeking to change entirely the gospel of Christ.

But there arose false prophets also among the people, as there will be false teachers among you also, who will stealthily bring in destructive factions, even denying the Lord that bought them; bringing upon themselves swift destruction.

And no wonder; for even Satan transformeth himself into an angel of light. It is no great thing, then, if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workmen, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
