Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause hiding behind many to wrest judgment;

Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked, from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

All we like sheep have become lost; we have turned each one to his own way; and the LORD transposed in him the iniquity of us all.

Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men that I might leave my people and go from them! for they are all adulterers, a congregation of rebels.

And in her was heard a voice of a multitude at a feast; and with the men of renown were brought the Sabeans from the wilderness to multiply the men, and they put bracelets upon their hands and crowns of glory upon their heads.

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had always done unto them. And Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? For he knew that the princes of the priests had delivered him for envy.read more.
But the princes of the priests moved the multitude that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

I will remember these things; I will pour out my soul in me. When I shall be included in the number; I will go with them to the house of God with voice of joy and praise, dancing in the multitude.

Now as Ezra prayed and confessed, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men and women and children; and the people wept very sore.

Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; nothing shall remain of them, nor of their riches, nor of anything of theirs; neither shall there be lamentation for them. When he was come down from the mountain, many people followed him.

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea, and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea

The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abides for ever; and how sayest thou, It is expedient that the Son of man be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

The multitude, therefore, that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave and raised him from the dead, bore witness.

And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him, for some said, He is a good man; others said, No, but he deceives the people.

And he went again unto the sea; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.

And he came down with them and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those that were tormented with unclean spirits were healed. Jesus spoke all these things unto the multitude in parables and said nothing unto them without parables

And calling the multitude unto him, he said unto them, Hear and understand:

And the multitude, seeing it, marvelled and glorified God, who had given such power unto men.

And they marvelled at his learning, for he taught them as one that had power with him, and not as the scribes.

David therefore himself calls him Lord, and where then is he his son? And the many people heard him gladly.

And many of the people believed in him and said, When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than these which this man has done?

The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon; who goes about to kill thee?

The people, therefore, that were present and heard it, said that it thundered; others said, An angel spoke to him.

But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude because they held him as a prophet.

And they sought to lay hold on him but feared the multitude, for they understood that he had spoken the parable against them, and leaving him, they went away.

And the princes of the priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him, for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them; but they feared the people.

And the next sabbath day almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy and spoke against that which Paul said, contradicting and blaspheming.

Then Jesus spoke to the multitude and to his disciples,

And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men. And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius because he was the chief speaker. Then the priest of Jupiter, who was before their city, brought bulls and garlands unto the gates and would have done sacrifice unto them with the people.read more.
Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of it, they rent their clothes and ran in among the people, crying out and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all the things that are therein, who in generations past suffered all the Gentiles to walk in their own ways. Nevertheless he did not leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness. And Jesus, when he came out, saw a great multitude and had mercy on them because they were as sheep not having a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

And he left there and came into the borders of Judaea and behind the Jordan; and the multitude joined him again, and he taught them again as was his custom.

And the multitude rose up together against them, and the magistrates rent off their clothes and commanded to beat them.

And when he saw the multitude, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

But the disobedient Jews, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort and gathered a company and set all the city on an uproar and assaulted the house of Jason and sought to bring them out to the people. And when they did not find them, they brought Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down have come here also, whom Jason has received, and these all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus.read more.
And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city when they heard these things. And when they had taken security of Jason and of the others, they let them go. And the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night unto Berea, who when they got there went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all diligence and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Therefore many of them believed, also of honourable women who were Greeks and of men, not a few. But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached by Paul at Berea, they came there also and stirred up the people.

And Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

And when Paul would have entered in unto the people, the disciples suffered him not. And certain of the chief persons of Asia, who were his friends, sent unto him, asking him that he not present himself in the theatre. Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was confused; and most of them did not know why they were come together.read more.
And they drew Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. And Alexander beckoned with the hand and would have made his defense unto the people. But when they knew that he was a Jew, all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews, who were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people and laid hands on him, crying out, Men of Israel, help; this is the man that teaches everyone everywhere against the people and the law and this place and further brought Greeks also into the temple and has polluted this holy place. So that all the city was moved, and the people ran together; and they took Paul and drew him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the tribunal of the company that all Jerusalem was in an uproar who immediately took soldiers and centurions and ran down unto them; and when they saw the tribunal and the soldiers, they left off beating Paul. Then the tribunal came near and took him and commanded him to be bound with two chains and demanded to know who he was and what he had done. And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude; and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the fortress. And when he came upon the stairs, so it was that he was borne of the soldiers because of the violence of the people. For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him. And as Paul was to be led into the fortress, he said unto the tribunal, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek? Art not thou that Egyptian, who before these days made an uproar and led four thousand men out into the wilderness that were murderers? But Paul said, I am certainly a Jew, a citizen of Tarsus, a city known in Cilicia; and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people. And when he had given him license, Paul stood on the stairs and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spoke unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,

and a great multitude followed him, and he healed them there.

And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away that they may go into the villages and buy themselves food. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they said unto him, We have here but five loaves and two fishes.read more.
He said, Bring them here to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass and took the five loaves and the two fishes; and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said unto him, Shall we go and buy bread for two hundred denarius and give them to eat?read more.

And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties. And they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments and of the fishes. And those that ate were five thousand men.

The noise of a multitude in the mountains like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of kingdoms, of Gentiles gathered together: the LORD of the hosts orders the host of the battle.

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve and said unto him, Send the multitude away that they may go into the towns and country round about and lodge and get victuals, for we are here in a desert place. But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fishes, unless we should go and buy food for all these people. Then Jesus lifted up his eyes and saw a great company come unto him; he said unto Philip, From where shall we buy bread that these may eat? But he said this to prove him, for he knew what he would do. Philip answered him, Two hundred denarius of bread is not sufficient for them, that each one of them may take a little.read more.
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said unto him, There is a lad here, who has five barley loaves and two small fishes, but what are they among so many? Then Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And after these things I heard a great voice of a great company in the heaven, saying, Halelu-JAH; Salvation and glory and honour and power unto the Lord our God;

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him and said, I have mercy on the multitude because they persevere with me now three days and have nothing to eat, and I desire not to send them away fasting lest they faint in the way. Then his disciples say unto him, From where do we have so much bread in the wilderness as to satisfy so great a multitude? And Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven and a few little fishes.read more.

And Jesus, answering, said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?

And when Jesus came into the ruler's house and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise, he said unto them, Give place, for the maid is not dead, but sleeps. And they laughed him to scorn. But when the people were put forth, he went in and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

And when they could not come near unto him for the crowd, they uncovered the roof of the house where he was; and when they had broken it open, they let down the bed in which the paralytic lay.

And when they could not find any way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.

And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship and to go before him unto the other side while he sent the multitude away.

And straightway he told his disciples to get quickly into the ship and to go to the other side before him unto Bethsaida while he dispatched the people.

But he, passing through the midst of them, went away.

And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

And he that was healed did not know who it was; for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

And taking him aside from the multitude, he put his fingers into the man's ears; and spitting, he touched the man's tongue with the saliva;

And one of the multitude answering, said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, who has a dumb spirit;

And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the mountain, many people met him. And, behold, a man of the multitude cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son, for he is my only child. And, behold, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out; and it throws him into convulsions with foaming, and with difficulty it departs from him, bruising him.read more.

Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and many people from the city were with her.

and, behold, a man named Zacchaeus, who was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was and could not for the crowd because he was small of stature.

And so they come to Jericho, and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many told him to be silent, but he cried even more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And it came to pass that as he came near unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat beside the way begging, and hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what this might be. And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passes by.read more.

And it came to pass as he spoke these things, a certain woman of the crowd lifted up her voice and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee and the breasts which thou hast sucked.

In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and troubled the water; whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatever disease he had. And a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.read more.
When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he said unto him, Dost thou desire to be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man when the water is troubled to put me into the pool, but while I am coming, another steps down before me. Jesus said unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked, and on that day was the sabbath.

And I knew that thou hearest me always, but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
