Consider what I say; for the Lord shall give you understanding in all things.

Then he opened their understanding to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day, and that a change of mind and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

And from Moses, and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

but as it is written, An eye has not seen, an ear has not heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those that love him; but God has revealed them to us by his Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who knows the [things] of man, except the spirit of man which is in him? So also no one knows the [things] of God except the Spirit of God.read more.
And we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things given us by God, which we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

by reading which you can understand my knowledge of the mystery of Christ,??5 which in other generations was not made known to the children of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,

But the natural man receives not the [things] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot know them, for they are spiritually discerned.

Where is the wise? where the scribe? where the disputer of this life? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, God was pleased by the foolishness of preaching to save those that believe;

I have many things yet to say to you, but you cannot bear them now; but when he, the Spirit of truth has come, he will lead you in all the truth; for he will not speak of himself, but he will speak whatever he shall hear, and tell you things to come. the eyes of your minds being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his call, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, and what the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the operation of his mighty power,

And some of the scribes were sitting there, and reasoned in their minds, Why does this man speak so? he blasphemes. Who can forgive sins but God alone? And Jesus immediately knowing in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, Why do you reason in your minds?

And the scribes and Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaks blasphemies? who can forgive sins, but God alone? And Jesus knowing their thoughts answered and said to them, Why do you reason in your minds?

The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

And if any one of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and upbraids not, and it shall be given him.

And Jesus answered and said to them, You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.

Jesus said to them, Do you not err on this account, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God?

Do you not yet understand nor remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many travelling-baskets you took up? nor the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many store-baskets you took up? Why do you not understand that I spoke to you not of bread, to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?

And Jesus knowing it, said to them, Why do you reason because you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive nor understand? Is your heart hardened? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many traveling baskets of fragments took you up? They said to him, Twelve.read more.
And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many store-baskets of fragments took you up? And they said, Seven. And he said to them, Do you not yet understand?

And Peter taking hold of him said, rebuking him, Far be it from you, Lord! This shall not be to you.

And he spoke this word plainly; and Peter taking hold of him, rebuked him.

And he said to them, O foolish men, and of a mind slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

Jesus answered and said to him, Are you a teacher of Israel and know not these things?

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, They have taken away the Lord from the tomb, and we know not where they have laid him.
