If they say, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' or, 'He is in the inner chambers,' do not believe it. Lightning comes from the east and is seen in the west. The coming of the Son of man is like this. The eagles will gather at the place of the carcass. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened. The moon will not give light. The stars will fall from heaven. The powers of the heavens will be shaken. The sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of earth will mourn. They will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send his angels with a great trumpet sound. When the branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. Therefore, when you see all these things, you will know he is near, even at the door. Truly I tell you, this generation (those living at that time) will not pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
