Brothers, truly my heart's desire and my supplication to God for Israel is for salvation.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to LORD for it, for in the peace of it ye shall have peace.
And the people were as murmurers, [speaking] evil in the ears of LORD. And when LORD heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of LORD burnt among them, and devoured in the outermost part of the camp. And the people cried to Moses. And Moses prayed to LORD, and the fire abated.
And Moses said to LORD, Then the Egyptians will hear it, for thou brought up this people in thy might from among them, and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land.
