then ye shall appoint yourselves cities to be cities of refuge for you that the manslayer who kills any person unawares may flee there. And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger that the manslayer not die until he stands before the congregation in judgment.

And he shall turn many of the sons of Israel to the Lord their God. And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the rebellious to the prudence of the just, to make ready a prepared people for the Lord.
Behold, sons are a heritage of the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is to be desired. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the young men.

For the sons of Judah have done evil in my sight, said the LORD; they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name to pollute it. And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command them, neither did it come into my heart.
Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these thou hast sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, that thou hast sacrificed my children and given them over to them that they might cause them to pass through the fire unto them?
and he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women and see the sex, if it is a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them but gave the men children their lives.
For thou hast possessed my kidneys: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are thy works, and that, my soul knows right well.
