'Carnal' in the Bible
Neither shall you lie with any beast and defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman yield herself to a beast to lie with it; it is confusion, perversion, and degradedly carnal.
The foolish (those who are governed by carnal thoughts or desires) shall not stand in thy sight; thou dost hate all workers of iniquity.
A carnal man does not know, neither does a fool understand this:
Understand, ye carnal ones among the people, and, ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Whosoever loves chastening loves knowledge, but he that hates reproof is carnal.
Surely I am more carnal than any man and have not the understanding of a man.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

Now these things are examples (warnings and admonitions) for us not to desire or crave or covet or lust after evil and carnal things as they did.

It is these who are [agitators] setting up distinctions and causing divisions -- "merely sensual [creatures, carnal, worldly-minded people], devoid of the [Holy] Spirit and destitute of any higher spiritual life.
