'Cup' in the Bible
Now Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, so I took the grapes, squeezed them into his cup, and put the cup in Pharaoh's hand."
In three more days Pharaoh will reinstate you and restore you to your office. You will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you did before when you were cupbearer.

And in the same way he took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

But Jesus said to Peter, "Put your sword back into its sheath! Am I not to drink the cup that the Father has given me?"
Is not the cup of blessing that we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread that we break a sharing in the body of Christ?
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot take part in the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
In the same way, he also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of me."
For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

Repay her the same way she repaid others; pay her back double corresponding to her deeds. In the cup she mixed, mix double the amount for her.
