'Esteem' in the Bible
“You shall not curse God, nor curse the ruler of your people [since he administers God’s law].
The Philistine commanders would go out to fight and whenever they did, David was more successful than any of Saul's other leaders. His name was held in high esteem.

Now Jesus loved and was concerned about Martha and her sister and Lazarus [and considered them dear friends].
But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem.
