'Happen' in the Bible
Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they go in and settle there. And so the final condition of that person becomes worse than the first. That's just what will happen to this evil generation!"
Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying, "God be merciful to you, Lord! This must never happen to you!"
How terrible it will be for the world due to its temptations to sin! Temptations to sin are bound to happen, but how terrible it will be for that person who causes someone to sin!
Jesus answered them, "I tell all of you with certainty, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you be able to do what has been done to the fig tree, but you will also say to this mountain, "Be removed and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen.
I tell all of you with certainty, all these things will happen to those living today."
because at that time there will be great suffering, the kind that hasn't happened from the beginning of the world until now and certainly won't ever happen again.
I tell all of you with certainty, this generation won't disappear until these things happen.
But they kept saying, "This must not happen during the festival. Otherwise, there'll be a riot among the people."
How, then, would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say this must happen?"
Once again, Jesus took the Twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to him. "Pay attention! We're going up to Jerusalem. The Son of Man will be handed over to the high priests and the scribes, and they'll condemn him to death. Then they'll hand him over to the unbelievers,
I tell all of you with certainty, if anyone says to this mountain, "Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' if he doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
"Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign when these things will be put into effect?"
because those days will be a time of suffering, a kind that has not happened from the beginning of God's creation until now, and certainly will never happen again.
because they kept saying, "This must not happen during the festival. Otherwise, there'll be a riot among the people."
Mary asked the angel, "How can this happen, since I have not had relations with a man?"
Then Mary said, "Truly I am the Lord's servant. Let everything you have said happen to me." Then the angel left her.
Why should this happen to me, to have the mother of my Lord visit me?
He will come and destroy those farmers and give the vineyard to others." Those who heard him said, "That must never happen!"
And if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?"
Later on, Jesus found him in the Temple and told him, "Look! You have become well. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."
I'm telling you this now, before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe that I AM.
Then Jesus, knowing everything that was going to happen, went forward and asked them, "Who are you looking for?"
Simon answered, "Both of you pray to the Lord for me that none of the things you have said will happen to me."
So be careful that what the prophets said doesn't happen to you:
And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there,
I've had help from God to this day, and so I stand here to testify to both the powerful and the lowly alike, stating only what the prophets and Moses said would happen
They were expecting him to swell up or suddenly drop dead, but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.
However, this will happen to each person in the proper order: first the Messiah, then those who belong to the Messiah when he comes.
"If it is hard for the righteous person to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and sinful person?"
and if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed them by burning them to ashes, making them an example to ungodly people of what is going to happen to them;
This is the revelation of Jesus the Messiah, which God gave him to show his servants the things that must happen soon. He made it known by sending his messenger to his servant John,
Therefore, write down what you have seen, what is, and what is going to happen after this.
After these things, I saw a door standing open in heaven. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this."
He told me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord God of the spirits and of the prophets has sent his messenger to show his servants the things that must happen soon."
