'Correction' in the Bible

Return to my correction! Look, I will pour out my spirit on you, and I will make my words known to you.

since you neglected all my counseland did not accept my correction,

were not interested in my counsel,and rejected all my correction,

My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction:

and you will say, “How I hated discipline,and how my heart despised correction.

He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;

The one who follows instruction is on the path to life,but the one who rejects correction goes astray.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,but one who hates correction is stupid.

A wise son heeds a father's correction, but a mocker does not listen to rebuke.

Poverty and shame are for those who ignore correction, but whoever listens to instruction gains honor.

A fool despises his father’s discipline,but a person who accepts correction is sensible.

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

Anyone who ignores discipline despises himself,but whoever listens to correction acquires good sense.

Understanding is a well-spring of life unto him that hath it; But the correction of fools is their folly.

Listen to counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction,That you may be wise in the time to come.

Blows that wound cleanse away evil,And strokes reach to the innermost parts.

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

Apply your heart to disciplineAnd your ears to words of knowledge.

Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

A wise correction to a receptive earis like a gold ring or an ornament of gold.
