As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of man must also be lifted up. Everyone who has an active faith in him may have everlasting life. For God loved the world so much, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever has an active faith in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. read more.
God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world. Instead the world should be saved through him. He who has an active faith in him is not judged. He who does not have an active faith has been judged already for he has not had faith in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It will happen. Every person who will not listen to the prophet will be destroyed from among the people.

Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who puts active faith in me will live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and puts active faith in me will never die. Do you believe this?

Jesus turned to speak to the large crowd of people who were traveling with him: You who come to me may not be my disciple unless you love me more than you love your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters and yourself. Those who do not carry their own stake and come after me may not be my disciples. read more.
If you plan to build a tower, you sit down first and figure out what it will cost. Then you see if you have enough money to finish the job. If you do not, you will not be able to finish the project after laying the foundation. Everyone who sees what happened will ridicule and poke fun of you. You started and could not finish,' they will say. When a king commands ten thousand men to fight another king who comes against him with twenty thousand men, he will sit down first and decide if he is strong enough to defeat the other king. If he is not strong enough he will send messengers to the other king to ask for terms of peace while he is still far away. Likewise, concluded Jesus, none of you may be my disciples unless you give up everything you have.

They asked: What must we do, that we may work the works of God? Jesus answered: This is the work of God, that you have an active faith in the one whom he has sent.

One man said: Master, what good thing must I do, so that I may have eternal life? Jesus answered him: Why are you questioning me about what is good? There is one who is good. Honor your father and your mother, and Love your neighbor as yourself. The man said to him: I have done all these things; what more is there? Jesus then replied: If you wish to be complete, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor. You will have wealth in heaven. Then follow me!

Jesus heard that they threw him out. He found him and said: Do you believe in the Son of God?

A Jewish leader asked: Good Teacher what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Jesus asked: Why do you call me good? None is good except one, God. You know the commandments, do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, and do not bear false witness. Honor your father and mother. read more.
The man replied: I have observed all these things from my youth. When Jesus heard it he said to him, You lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me. But when he heard these things he became very sad for he was very rich. Seeing him Jesus said: It is very difficult for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. It is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. They heard this and asked: Than who can be saved?

Jesus answered: Truly I tell you unless a person is born again (brought forth from above) he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus asked: How could a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb again and be born? Jesus responded: I tell you truth, except a man be born of water and the spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God! read more.
That which is born from the flesh is flesh and that which is born from the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I say you must be born again. The wind blows where it will. You hear the sound of it. Yet you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. It is like this with every one who is born from the Spirit. Nicodemus asked: How can these things be? Jesus answered: Are you a teacher of Israel and you do not understand these things? This is the truth. We speak what we know and witness about what we have seen. But you do not receive our testimony. If I told you earthly things and you did not have faith, how will you have faith if I tell you heavenly things?
