These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. By believing you may have life in his name.
Jesus said to him: Because you saw me, you believe. Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet believe!
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word about Christ.
They said: Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your house.
But having the same spirit (attitude) of faith, according to that which is written, I believe, and therefore I speak. We also believe, and therefore we also speak.
This is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another. He gave us this commandment!
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in me.
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and have active faith in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Jesus answered: This is the work of God, that you have an active faith in the one whom he has sent.
You love him without seeing him. Though you do not see him, you believe in him. Full of glory, you rejoice greatly with indescribable joy.
For with the heart one believes for righteousness. And with the mouth one declares for salvation.
Again, I say to you, that if two of you are in agreement on earth about anything for which they will make a request, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Also take up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Without faith it is impossible to please God. He who comes to God must believe that he is and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
So God dispatches the power of deceit (error) to work in them so that they are allowed to believe what is false.
Jesus said: The time has come. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the good news.
However he must ask in faith, not doubting: for he who doubts is like a surging wave of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.
He who puts active faith in the Son has everlasting life. He who disobeys* the Son will not see life for the wrath of God remains upon him. (*Greek: apeitheo: willfully disobey, not having faith)
He who believes and is baptized will be saved. He who does not believe will be condemned.
We do not look at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen. For the things that are seen are temporal (for a season). But the things that are not seen are eternal.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
