Crowds came from the cities near Jerusalem. They brought sick people and people with unclean spirits and everyone of them was healed.

She did this for many days. This troubled Paul. So he turned and said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very hour.

Handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched his body were put on the sick and the evil spirits went away.

O woman, Jesus replied, your faith is great! Let your desire be done. And her daughter was made well from that hour.

Jesus ordered the unclean spirit to leave the boy. It left him and the boy was made well immediately.

But I say, that the things that the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of Jehovah and the cup of demons. You cannot be partakers of the Jehovah's Table and of the table of demons. (Malachi 1:12)

They brought the boy to him. Suddenly the spirit threw him into convulsions. He fell on the ground rolled around and foamed at the mouth. Jesus asked his father: How long has this been going on? He said: Since he was a child. Often it casts him into the fire and into the water to destroy him. If you can do anything have compassion on us and help us. I asked your disciples to cast it out and they could not. Jesus answered: O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and put up with you? Bring your son to me. Many of them said: He has a demon and is mad. Why listen to him?

The crowd answered: You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?

When a house is divided against itself it will not be able to stand. If Satan has risen up against himself, he is divided, cannot stand and will come to an end. No one can enter into the house of the strong man and steal his property unless he first captures the strong man. Then he will steal his property. The next day Jehovah let a distressing spirit take control of Saul. He began acting like a crazy man inside his house. David came to play the harp for Saul as usual. This time Saul had a spear in his hand. Saul balanced the spear in his hand and said: I will give David a blow! I will pin him to the wall. David got away from him twice.

Jehovah's Spirit left Saul, and a distressing spirit sent by Jehovah tormented him. His servants said to him: We know that a distressing spirit sent by God is tormenting you. So give us the order and we will look for a man who knows how to play the harp. Then when the distressing spirit comes on you, the man can play his harp, and you will be all right again. read more.
Saul ordered: Find me a man who plays well and bring him to me. One of his attendants said: Jesse of the town of Bethlehem has a son who is a good musician. He is also a brave and handsome man, a good soldier, and an able speaker. Jehovah is with him. Saul sent a message to Jesse: Tell your son David to leave your sheep and come here to me. Jesse loaded a donkey with bread and a goatskin full of wine. He told David to take the donkey and a young goat to Saul. David went to Saul and worked for him. Saul liked him so much that he put David in charge of carrying his weapons. Not long after this, Saul sent another message to Jesse: I really like David. Please let him stay with me. Whenever the distressing spirit from God bothered Saul, David would play his harp. Saul would relax and feel better. The distressing spirit would go away.

One night, David was in Saul's home, playing the harp for him. Saul sat there with a spear in his hand. The distressing spirit from Jehovah took control of him. Saul tried to pin David to the wall with his spear. David dodged it, and Saul's spear struck the wall. David escaped from Saul that night.

A woman whose little daughter had an evil spirit heard about Jesus. She went to him and bowed down. The woman was a Greek Syrophoenician by race. She wanted him to drive out the demon out of her daughter. He said to her: Let the children be fed first. It is not proper to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs. read more.
She answered: Yes Lord, even the dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs. Then he replied: Thanks to your answer you may leave for the demon has gone out of your daughter. She went to her house and found the child on the bed with the demon gone.

He called his twelve disciples. He gave them power to cast out unclean spirits and to heal all kinds of disease and sickness.

He summoned the twelve and sent them forth in pairs. They were given authority over the unclean spirits.

These signs will accompany those who believe. They will cast out demons in my name. They will speak with new languages.

When he arrived at the other side of the lake in the country of the Gadarenes two men possessed by demons came to him from out of the tombs. They were extremely violent, so no man could pass by that way. They screamed at him, saying: What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come to torment us before the time? A large herd of swine was feeding in the distance. read more.
The demons pleaded with him: If you cast us out, send us into the herd of swine! He told them to go. And they came out, and went into the swine. The entire herd rushed down the hill into the sea, where they perished in the waters. The herdsmen fled to the city to tell everything that happened to the swine that were possessed with demons. Everyone in the city came out to meet Jesus. They begged him to go away from their country.

Just as he got out of the boat a man with an unclean spirit came to him from the tombs. He was living in the tombs. No man was able to bind him even with a chain. Often he was bound in chains and iron bands but he would break them. No man was strong enough to keep him still. read more.
Day and night in the tombs and in the mountains he cried out. He would cut himself with stones. He saw Jesus from far off and quickly approached and bowed down before him. There was a large herd of pigs feeding on the mountainside. They pleaded with Jesus: Send us into the pigs! He let them do it. Then the unclean spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd went rushing down a sharp slope into the sea. About two thousand of them died in the sea. Their keepers ran off to the town to tell others what happened. People came to see what had taken place. When they came to Jesus they saw the man who had been demon possessed. He was fully clothed and in full use of his senses. So they were afraid. Those who saw the event gave a full account of what happened to the man, the evil spirits and the pigs. They asked Jesus to leave their country. Entering the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons asked that he might be allowed to travel with him. Jesus told him: Go to your house and to your friends and tell them about the great things God did for you and how he had mercy on you. He went away and told others in Decapolis what great things Jesus had done for him. They all marveled.

A young woman who had a spirit of divination met us as we were going to the place of prayer. She brought her masters much gain by soothsaying. She followed Paul and cried out: These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation. She did this for many days. This troubled Paul. So he turned and said to the spirit, I charge you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her! And it came out that very hour.

Someone possessed with a demon, blind and dumb was brought to him. He healed him and the dumb man spoke and could see.

He cast out a demon from a dumb man. When the demon left the man he spoke and the crowds were astonished.

The seventy returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name.

John spoke up: Teacher, we saw someone who does not follow us casting out demons in your name. We tried to stop him because he does not follow us.

Traveling with him were the women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities. This included Mary Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out. Also healed was Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna. There were many others, who supported them out of their private substance.

The spirit seizes him and slams him down. He foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth. I asked your disciples to cast it out but they could not do it.

When the child went into the house his disciples asked him privately: Why were we unable to send it out? He replied: Only prayer will make this sort come out.

until a spirit stepped forward, approached Jehovah, and said: I will deceive him. How will you deceive him? Jehovah asked. The spirit replied: I will make all of Ahab's prophets tell lies. Jehovah said: Go and deceive him. You will succeed. Micaiah concluded: This is what has happened. Jehovah made these prophets of yours lie to you. He has decreed that you will meet with disaster!

When an unclean spirit goes out of a man it passes through the desert seeking rest. It does not find it. It tries to return to the place from where it came. It finds it empty, swept, and fixed up. Then it takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself. They enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. It will also be like this with this evil generation.

Some Jews went around driving out evil spirits saying: In the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches I command you to come out! And there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jew, and a chief priest, who did this. The evil spirit answered and said to them: Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you? read more.

Next, a dumb man possessed with a demon was brought to him. When the demon was cast out, the dumb man spoke. The crowd marveled, saying: We have never seen anything like this in Israel!

Then it takes along seven other spirits more evil than itself. They enter in and dwell there. The last state of that man becomes worse than the first. It will also be like this with this evil generation.

God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. The men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

Unclean spirits, crying with loud voices, came out of many who were possessed by them. Many who were taken with palsies and the lame were healed.

When they came to Jesus they saw the man who had been demon possessed. He was fully clothed and in full use of his senses. So they were afraid.

Then Jesus said: What is your name? He answered: My name is Legion because there are a great number of us.
