'Love' in the Bible
“You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?
“Whenever you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by people. I assure you: They’ve got their reward!
“No one can be a slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot be slaves of God and of money.

He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
They love the place of honor at banquets, the front seats in the synagogues,
Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.
“The second is: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other command greater than these.”
And to love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is far more important than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
“But I say to you who listen: Love your enemies, do what is good to those who hate you,
If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.
But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.
Since they could not pay it back, he graciously forgave them both. So, which of them will love him more?”
He answered:Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.
“But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.

No household slave can be the slave of two masters, since either he will hate one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t be slaves to both God and money.”

“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.
The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.”
Jesus answered, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
The one who doesn’t love Me will not keep My words. The word that you hear is not Mine but is from the Father who sent Me.
On the contrary, I am going away so that the world may know that I love the Father. Just as the Father commanded Me, so I do.“Get up; let’s leave this place.
“As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love.
If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commands and remain in His love.
This is My command: Love one another as I have loved you.

A second time He asked him, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”“Shepherd My sheep,” He told him.
He asked him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?”Peter was grieved that He asked him the third time, “Do you love Me?” He said, “Lord, You know everything! You know that I love You.”“Feed My sheep,” Jesus said.

And if I donate all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body in order to boastbut do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind.Love does not envy,is not boastful, is not conceited,
Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end;as for languages, they will cease;as for knowledge, it will come to an end.

I am not saying this as a command. Rather, by means of the diligence of others, I am testing the genuineness of your love.
Therefore, show them proof before the churches of your love and of our boasting about you.
Why? Because I don’t love you? God knows I do!
I will most gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
Finally, brothers, rejoice. Become mature, be encouraged, be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,
and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,
and to know the Messiah’s love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

These do so out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel;
If then there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any affection and mercy,
