2 "Speak unto all the multitude of the children of Israel, and say unto them, 'Be holy for I, the LORD your God, am holy.

3 See that ye fear every man his father and his mother, and that ye keep my Sabbaths, for I am the LORD your God.
3 Every one of you (B)shall reverence his mother and his father, and you shall keep (C)My sabbaths; (D)I am the Lord your God.

5 "'When ye offer your peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer them that ye may be accepted.
5 ‘Now when you offer a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, you shall offer it so that you may be accepted.
5 And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will.
5 “When you offer a fellowship sacrifice to the Lord, sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.
5 "When you offer a peace offering to the LORD, you are to offer it for your acceptance.
6 And it shall be eaten the same day ye offer it and on the morrow, but whatsoever is left on the third day shall be burnt in the fire.
6 It shall be eaten the same day you offer it, and the next day; but what remains until the third day shall be burned with fire.

6 Your sacrifice is to be eaten on that day and the next day. Anything that remains to the third day is to be incinerated.
7 If it be eaten the third day, it shall be unclean and not accepted.
7 So if it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an offense; it will not be accepted.
7 And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted.

8 And he that eateth it shall bear his sin, because he hath defiled the hallowed things of the LORD, and that soul shall perish from among his people.
8 Everyone who eats it will bear his iniquity, for he has profaned the holy thing of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from his people.
8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

9 When ye reap down the ripe corn of your land, ye shall not reap down the utmost borders of your fields, neither shalt thou gather that which is left behind in thy harvest.
9 ‘(G)Now when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very corners of your field, nor shall you gather the gleanings of your harvest.
9 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

10 Thou shalt not pluck in all thy vineyard clean, neither gather in the grapes that are overscaped. But thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger. I am the LORD your God.
10 Nor shall you glean your vineyard, nor shall you gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the needy and for the stranger. I am the Lord your God.
10 And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God.
10 You must not strip your vineyard bare or gather its fallen grapes. Leave them for the poor(K) and the foreign resident;(L) I am Yahweh your God.
10 You are not to gather your vineyard or pick up the fallen grapes of your vineyard. Leave something for the poor and the resident alien who lives among you. I am the LORD your God."
12 Ye shall not swear by my name falsely, that thou defilest not the name of thy God; I am the LORD.
12 (J)You shall not swear falsely by My name, so as to (K)profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.
12 And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
12 "You are not to use my name to deceive, thereby defiling the name of your God. I am the LORD.
13 Thou shalt not beguile thy neighbour with cavillations, neither rob him violently, neither shall the workman's labour abide with thee until the morning.
13 ‘(L)You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. (M)The wages of a hired man are not to remain with you all night until morning.
13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
13 “You must not oppress(Q) your neighbor or rob(R) him. The wages due a hired hand(S) must not remain with you until morning.
13 "You are not to oppress your neighbor or rob him. "The wages of a hired laborer are not to remain in your possession until morning.
14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, neither put a stumbling block before the blind: but shalt fear thy God. I am the LORD.
14 You shall not curse a deaf man, nor (N)place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your God; I am the Lord.

15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. Thou shalt not favour the poor nor honour the mighty, but shalt judge thy neighbour righteously.
15 ‘(O)You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.
15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
15 “You must not act unjustly(W) when deciding a case. Do not be partial(X) to the poor or give preference to the rich;(Y) judge your neighbor fairly.
15 "You are not to be unjust in deciding a case. You are not to show partiality to the poor or honor the great. Instead, decide the case of your neighbor with righteousness."
16 "'Thou shalt not go up and down a privy accuser among thy people, neither shalt thou help to shed the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
16 You shall not go about as (P)a slanderer among your people, and you are not to (a)act against the (b)(Q)life of your neighbor; I am the Lord.
16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
16 You must not go about spreading slander(Z) among your people; you must not jeopardize(a) your neighbor’s life; I am Yahweh.
16 "You are not to go around slandering your people. "You are not to stand idle when your neighbor's life is at stake. I am the LORD.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart but shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour: that thou bear not sin for his sake.
17 ‘You (R)shall not hate your (c)fellow countryman in your heart; you (S)may surely reprove your neighbor, but shall not incur sin because of him.
17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
17 “You must not harbor hatred against your brother.(b)(AA) Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.(AB)
17 "You are not to hate your relative in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor if you must, but you are not to incur guilt on account of him.
18 Thou shalt not avenge thyself nor bear hate in thy mind against the children of thy people, but shalt love thy neighbour even as thyself. I am the LORD.
18 (T)You shall not take vengeance, (U)nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but (V)you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the Lord.

19 "'Keep mine ordinances. Let none of thy cattle gender with a contrary kind, neither sow thy field with mingled seed, neither shalt thou put on any garment of linen and woollen.
19 ‘You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; (W)you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together.
19 Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.
19 “You are to keep My statutes. You must not crossbreed two different kinds of your livestock, sow your fields with two kinds of seed, or put on a garment made of two kinds of material.(AE)
19 "Observe my statutes. "You are not to let your cattle breed with a different species. "You are not to sow your fields with two different kinds of seeds. "You are not to wear clothing made from two different kinds of material.
20 "'When a man lieth with a woman and hath to do with her, which is a bondwoman and hath been meddled withal of another man; but not loosed out nor hath obtained freedom, it shall be punished: but they shall not suffer death, because she was not free.
20 ‘(X)Now if a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave acquired for another man, but who has in no way been redeemed nor given her freedom, there shall be punishment; they shall not, however, be put to death, because she was not free.
20 And whosoever lieth carnally with a woman, that is a bondmaid, betrothed to an husband, and not at all redeemed, nor freedom given her; she shall be scourged; they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
20 “If a man has sexual intercourse with a woman who is a slave designated for another man, but she has not been redeemed(AF) or given her freedom, there must be punishment.(c) They are not to be put to death, because she had not been freed.
20 "When a person has sexual relations with a woman servant who is engaged to another man, but she has not been completely redeemed nor has her freedom been granted to her, there is to be an inquiry, but they won't be put to death, since she has not been freed.
21 And he shall bring for his trespass offering unto the LORD, even unto the door of the tabernacle of witness: a ram for a trespass offering.
21 He shall bring his guilt offering to the Lord to the doorway of the tent of meeting, (Y)a ram for a guilt offering.
21 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, even a ram for a trespass offering.
21 However, he must bring a ram as his restitution offering to the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.(AG)
21 The perpetrator is to bring his guilt offering to the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting that is, a ram as a guilt offering.
22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD, for his sin which he hath done: and it shall be forgiven him, as concerning the sin which he hath done.
22 The priest shall also make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the Lord for his sin which he has committed, and the sin which he has committed will be forgiven him.
22 And the priest shall make an atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before the LORD for his sin which he hath done: and the sin which he hath done shall be forgiven him.
22 The priest will make atonement on his behalf before the Lord with the ram of the restitution offering for the sin he has committed, and he will be forgiven for the sin he committed.
22 Then the priest is to make atonement for him with the ram as a guilt offering in the LORD's presence on account of his sin which he has committed, but which will be forgiven him."
23 And when ye come to the land and have planted all manner of trees whereof men eat, ye shall hold them uncircumcised as concerning their fruit: even three year shall they be uncircumcised unto you and shall not be eaten of,
23 ‘When you enter the land and plant all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as (d)forbidden. Three years it shall be (e)forbidden to you; it shall not be eaten.
23 And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.
23 “When you come into the land and plant any kind of tree for food, you are to consider the fruit forbidden.(d) It will be forbidden to you for three years; it is not to be eaten.
23 "When you have entered the land and planted all sorts of trees for food, regard its fruit as uncircumcised for the first three years for you. It is not to be eaten.
24 and the fourth year all the fruit of them shall be holy and acceptable to the LORD.
24 But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord.
24 But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD withal.
24 During the fourth year, all its fruit is to be offered as a holy token of praise to the LORD.
25 And the fifth year may ye eat of the fruit of them, and gather in the increase of them. I am the LORD your God.
25 In the fifth year you are to eat of its fruit, that its yield may increase for you; I am the Lord your God.
25 And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof, that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.

26 "'Ye shall eat nothing with the blood, ye shall use no witchcraft, nor observe dismal days.

26 “You are not to eat anything with blood in it.(e)(AJ) You are not to practice divination(AK) or sorcery.(AL)
26 "You are not to eat anything containing blood, engage in occult practices, or practice fortune telling.
28 Ye shall not rent your flesh for any soul's sake, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
28 You shall not make any cuts in your (f)body for the (g)dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord.
28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
28 You are not to make gashes on your bodies for the dead(AN) or put tattoo marks on yourselves; I am Yahweh.
28 "You are not to make incisions in your flesh on account of the dead nor submit to cuts or tattoos. I am the LORD.
29 "'Thou shalt not pollute thy daughter, that thou wouldest maintain her to be an whore: lest the land fall to whoredom, and wax full of wickedness.
29 ‘(AC)Do not (h)profane your daughter by making her a harlot, so that the land will not fall to harlotry and the land become full of lewdness.
29 Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.
29 “Do not debase(f)(AO) your daughter by making her a prostitute,(AP) or the land will be prostituted and filled with depravity.
29 "You are not to defile your daughter by engaging her in prostitution so the land won't become filled with wickedness.
31 Turn not to them that work with spirits, neither regard them that observe dismal days, that ye be not defiled by them: for I am the LORD your God.
31 ‘Do not turn to (i)(AF)mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God.
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
31 “Do not turn to mediums(g)(AR) or consult spiritists,(h)(AS) or you will be defiled by them; I am Yahweh your God.
31 "You are to consult neither mediums nor familiar spirits. You are never to seek them you'll just be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoar head and reverence the face of the old man; and dread thy God, for I am the LORD.
32 ‘(AG)You shall rise up before the grayheaded and honor the (j)aged, and you shall revere your God; I am the Lord.
32 Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the LORD.
32 “You are to rise in the presence of the elderly and honor the old.(AT) Fear your God; I am Yahweh.
32 "Rise in the presence of the aged and honor the elderly face-to-face. "Fear your God. I am the LORD.
34 But let the stranger that dwelleth with you be as one of your selves, and love him as thy self, for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.
34 The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as the native among you, and (AI)you shall love him as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God.

36 But ye shall have true balances, true weights, a true ephah and a true hin. I am the LORD your God which brought you out of the land of Egypt,
36 You shall have (AK)just balances, just weights, a just (k)ephah, and a just (l)hin; I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt.
36 Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
36 You are to have honest balances,(AY) honest weights, an honest dry measure,(i) and an honest liquid measure;(j)(AZ) I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
36 You are to maintain just balances and reliable standards for weights, dry volumes, and liquid volumes. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
37 that ye should observe all mine ordinances and judgments and that ye should keep them: I am the LORD.'"
37 You shall thus observe all My statutes and all My ordinances and do them; I am the Lord.’”
37 Therefore shall ye observe all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: I am the LORD.
