Restore Us, O God

1 {To the Chanter, upon Shoshannim, a Psalm of Asaph} Hear, O thou shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Jacob like a flock of sheep; show thyself, thou that sittest upon the Cherubim.

1 Shepherd of Israel, listen! The one who leads Joseph like a flock, the one enthroned on the cherubim, display your glory.

2 Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh; stir up thy power, and come help us.

2 Before (D)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, (E)stir up Your powerAnd come to save us!

2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.

5 Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, yea thou hast given them plenteousness of tears to drink.

5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

6 Thou hast made us a very strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies laugh us to scorn.

15 and the place of the vineyard that thy righthand hath planted, and the son whom thou madest so strong for thyself.

16 It is burnt with fire, and cut down; O let them perish at the rebuke of thy wrath.

18 And so will not we go back from thee; O let us live, and we shall call upon thy name.

18 Then we shall not (AB)turn back from You;(AC)Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.

18 So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

18 Then we will not turn away from You;revive us, and we will call on Your name.(V)

19 Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts; show the light of thy countenance, and we shall be whole.
