'Our Help' in the Bible

“There is none like the God of Jeshurun (Israel),Who rides the heavens to your help,And through the skies in His majestic glory.

“Happy and blessed are you, O Israel;Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord,The Shield of your help,And the Sword of your majesty!Your enemies will cringe before you,And you will tread on their high places [tramping down their idolatrous altars].”

Then the [Holy] Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, and he said,“We are yours, O David,And with you, O son of Jesse!Peace, peace be to you,And peace be to him who helps you;For your God helps you.” Then David accepted and received them and made them officers of his troops.

We wait [expectantly] for the Lord;He is our help and our shield.

Rise up! Come be our help,And ransom us for the sake of Your steadfast love.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,Who made heaven and earth.

It is your destruction, O Israel,Because you are against Me, [and have rebelled] against your help.
