He makes the barren woman to keep house, a joyful mother of sons. Praise ye LORD.

He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him chastens him promptly.
A fool despises his father's correction, but he who regards reproof gets prudence.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.
The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and, My mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be carried away before the king of Assyria.
And the wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them. And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets of it.
And a brother will deliver up a brother to death, and a father a child. And children will rise up against parents, and condemn them to death.
For I came to divide a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a man's foes, are those of his own household. read more. When a woman brings forth she has pain because her hour has come. But when she has given birth to the child she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a man was born into the world.
