Now, the famine, was over all the face of the land, - so Joseph opened all places wherein it was and sold corn to the Egyptians, and the famine laid fast hold of the land of Egypt.

All the earth also, came in to Egypt to buy corn, unto Joseph, - because the famine had laid fast hold on an the earth.

So Joseph bought all the ground of the Egyptians for Pharaoh, for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine had laid fast hold upon them, - so the land became Pharaohs.

so that he may give (sell) me the cave of Machpelah which he owns—it is at the end of his field; let him give it to me here in your presence for the full price as a burial site [which I may keep forever among you].”
