Aaron is to wear the robe when he ministers so its sound may be heard when he enters and leaves the Holy Place in the LORD's presence, so that he won't die.

Make holy garments
As Yahweh had commanded Moses, so Aaron left it before the testimony for safekeeping.
And Joshua did as Moses had said to him to fight with Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up [to] the top of the hill.
Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
Take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil,
And Yahweh said to him, "Go, go down, and come up, you and Aaron with you and the priests, but the people must not break through to go up to Yahweh, lest he break out against them."
