For the promise to Abraham
This is why the promise is by faith, so that it may be according to grace,
Now it was credited to him was not written for Abraham alone,
Neither are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants.
I ask, then, has God rejected His people?
Are they Israelites? So am I.
Are they the seed of Abraham?
Just as Abraham believed God,
then understand that those who have faith are Abraham’s sons.
Now the Scripture saw in advance that God would justify the Gentiles by faith and told the good news ahead of time to Abraham,
So those who have faith are blessed with Abraham,
The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.
