But the boat was already many stadia distant from the land, being beaten by the waves, because the wind was against [it].
So he said, "Come!" And getting out of the boat, Peter walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
And [when] they got into the boat, the wind abated.
So those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God!"
And [after he] sent away the crowds, he got into the boat and went to the region of Magadan.
And going on a little [farther], he saw James the [son] of Zebedee and his brother John, and they [were] in the boat mending the nets.
And immediately he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men [and] went away after him.
And he told his disciples that a small boat should stand ready for him because of the crowd, so that they would not press upon him.
And again he began to teach beside the sea, and a very large crowd was gathered to him, so that he got into a boat [and] sat on the sea, and the whole crowd was at the sea on the land.
And leaving the crowd, they took him along, as he was, in the boat. And other boats were with him.
And a great storm of wind developed, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already being filled [with water].
But Jesus was in the back of the boat, asleep on a cushion. So they woke him up and asked him, "Teacher, don't you care that we're going to die?"
And [as] he was getting out of the boat, immediately from the tombs a man with an unclean spirit went to meet him,
And [as] he was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed began to implore him that he could go with him.
And [after] Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered to him, and he was beside the sea.
And they went away in the boat to an isolated place by themselves.
Many [people] saw them leaving, and recognized them and ran there together on foot from all the [surrounding] cities, and got there ahead of them.

When they had crossed over, they came ashore at Gennesaret and anchored the boat.

Simon Peter told them, "I'm going fishing." They all told him, "We'll go with you, too." So they went out and got into the boat but didn't catch a thing that night.
He told them, "Throw the net on the right hand side of the boat, and you'll catch some." So they threw it out and were unable to haul it in because it was so full of fish.
But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish. They were only about 200 cubits away from the shore.
So Peter went to the boat and came back pulling the net to land, full of great fish, a hundred and fifty-three; and though there was such a number the net was not broken.
As we passed under the lee of a small island called Cauda, with great difficulty we were able to secure the ship's boat.
And when they [finally] got the boat hoisted up, they slung [rope] cables underneath [and around] the hull [of the ship to reinforce it]. Then, fearing the ship would run aground on the [shifting], shallow sandbar [called] Syrtis, they lowered their [navigation] gear [Note: This may have been sails, rigging, etc.] and so were driven [as a derelict by the wind].
Although the sailors were trying to escape from the ship and had actually lowered the boat into the sea, pretending that they were going to run out anchors from the bow,
Then the soldiers cut the ropes that held the boat and let it drift away.
